Who we share your data with

None of your data is shared with anyone other than other readers of the web site. If you have left a comment on the site only your username and comments will be visible.

The site contains no advertising, has no sponsors apart from Committee Members and has no other links to any data list seller or provider.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service. Currently the site uses Akismet to filter spam messages. Otherwise the only visible data is your username and any comment you have left.

Your contact information

We have only your username and email address and we do not display or share anyone’s email address.

Additional information

How we protect your data

The site has an Administrator who is a Member of the Sorigny Twinning Committee. Currently the Administrator is the only person using access to the site for maintenance, news and updates and a deputy is being sought for obvious security and future updates in the event of unavailabilty .

What data breach procedures we have in place?

The site is secured through both the host Internet Service Provider (ISP) OVH and approved WordPress software. The likelihood of data breach is low since the site is purely charitable in nature and no commercial activity is undertaken. In addition the site is regularly viewed by the Administrator and Committee Members from both Sorigny and Box as are all the private emails between members of the Committees: in the event of any data breach the site can be temporarily closed and restored from the most recent back up created monthly automatically using Updraft Plus and stored on the Admnistrator’s Google Drive.

What third parties we receive data from

Occasionally some information is made available from other related Associations of the villages concerned with twinning. ‘Patrimoine de Sorigny’ and the Association de Fêtes (for full list see http://mairie-sorigny.com/?cat=13).

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

None.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

None known.
